The Vidarbha Orthopaedic Society (VOSN) proudly announced the installation of its new executive team in a distinguished ceremony held at Hotel Centre Point, Nagpur on 2nd June 2024. The event was graced by the presence of renowned orthopaedic surgeon, Dr. Abhay Narvekar, who officiated the installation of the new team. The ceremony also featured Senior Orthopaedic Surgeon, Dr. Sudhir Babhulkar, as the Guest of Honour.
The event started with academic program consisting of complex case scenarios presented by Dr Mahendra Kale, Dr. Ajit Phadke, Dr Ashutosh Apte, Dr Nirbhay Karandikar, Dr Devashis Barick, Dr. Satish Sonar, Dr Dhananjay Deshmukh and Dr. Aashay Kekatpure.
Dr. Anoop Kothari, outgoing President VOSN 2023-24 delivered the welcome speech. Dr. Amol Patil, Secretary VOSN, 2023-24 presented the secretary report highlighting the academic activities conducted during their tenure.
Dr. Satyjeet Jagtap will be President and Dr Samir Dwidmuthe will the Secretary for the year 2024-2025.
Dr. Satyajeet Jagtap, the newly appointed President of VOSN, delivered an inspiring acceptance speech, during which he outlined the upcoming academic events and initiatives planned for the tenure. Dr. Jagtap emphasized the society’s commitment to advancing orthopaedic knowledge and practice in the region through various educational programs and collaborative efforts.
The new executive team includes Dr Nitin Rathi, President Elect, Dr. Unmesh Mahajan, Vice-president, Dr, Dr. Yogesh Deshmukh, Treasurer, Dr. Amit Nemde, Joint Secretary, Dr. Pankaj Tathe, Clinical Committee Chairman, Dr. Om Wakde & Dr Aniruddha Sonegaonkar, Clinical Committee members.
Executive Members from Nagpur- Dr Nilay Hande, Dr Nakul Chandak, Dr Ankush Mohabey, Dr Abhinav Jogani, Dr Swapnil Gadege, Dr, Rushukesh Raut.
Executive member from outside Nagpur – Dr, Vivek Kawalkar, Pranay Mahalle, Dr Apratim Dixit, Jay Rathod, Dr Milind Deshkar, Dr Avinash Yelne, Dr Rishikesh Nikam, Dr Vipeen Raut Dr. Pankaj Katole and Dr Naresh Bidkar. Executive committee will work together to achieve the goals of VOSN. Their collective expertise and dedication promise to drive the society’s mission forward, fostering growth and excellence in the field of orthopaedics.
Dr Ashsih Pongade and Dr Parag Raut are sports committee members. Dr Ravi Bhajani & Dr Anup Kothari are cultural committee members.
The event concluded with a vote of thanks by the incoming Secretary, Dr. Samir Dwidmuthe, who expressed gratitude to all attendees and contributors for their support and participation in making the event a success.
