Clinical Meeting 12 June 2026 on Shoulder Injuries Draws Excellent Participation

The Vidarbha Orthopedic Society (VOS) successfully conducted its third Clinical Meeting of the academic year on 12 June 2026 at Hotel Tuli Imperial, Nagpur, with the theme focusing on Shoulder Injuries. The meeting witnessed an enthusiastic participation of more than 90 orthopedic surgeons from across the region.

The scientific program featured distinguished faculty members who delivered insightful lectures on contemporary shoulder trauma management. Dr. Pradeep Nemade presented an excellent talk on scapular fractures, covering operative indications, surgical approaches, and implant options. Dr. Mukesh Ladda discussed the role of reverse shoulder arthroplasty in four-part proximal humerus fractures, highlighting patient selection, indications, and key technical considerations. Adding a broader perspective on physician well-being, Dr. Rishikesh Umalkar, Cardiologist, delivered an engaging session on “Dying Young – Causes and Prevention”, emphasizing cardiovascular risk awareness and preventive strategies.

An interactive case discussion session formed the highlight of the evening, with challenging cases presented by Dr. Alok Umre, Dr. Ankush Mohobe, Dr. Saurabh Saha, Dr. Sumedh Choudhury, and Dr. Abhinav Konher. The lively discussions and active audience participation made the meeting highly educational and clinically relevant, reinforcing VOS’s commitment to delivering high-quality academic programs for orthopedic surgeons.
