9th August marks another successful day in the academic calendar of VOSN. A full day dedicated program on fractures of distal femur and proximal tib ia was conducted at Hotel Radisson Blu. VOSN 2026 and Depuy-Synthes Jointly organized this academic event. Dr R M Chandak (Convenor) and Dr Sumedh Choudhary (HOD, GMC, Nagpur) along with President Dr Unmesh Mahajan and Secretary Dr Vikram Sapre curated and excellent program leaving no stone unturned.
Well renowned faculty from Surat Dr Jignesh Pandya, Dr Pradip Nemade (Mumbai) and Dr Atul Kulkarni from Sancheti Inst of Orthopedics and Research, Pune were invited for the meet. Experienced surgeons from Vidarbha along with the invited faculties kept the delegates engaged throughout the day. This meet was attended by more than 100 delegates.
The faculties through their interesting cases and workshops demonstrated an excellent clinical acumen. There was a threadbare discussion on difficult fractures around the knee. Dr Jignesh Pandya through his excellent videos demonstrated how difficult fractures can be approached easily. His approach was widely appreciated by all.
The entire audience weas spell bound by the cases demonstrated by Dr Pradip Nemade, a well-known complex trauma and pelvi-acetabular surgeon. His algorithm to approach complex cases gave a clarity of thought on planning surgeries for neglected cases
Dr Atul Kulkarni’s masterclass on a newly developed implants (RFNA+LAW and TFNA+TraumaCem) kept the delegates glued to their seats till the end of the meet. This workshops and his talk helped delegates approach complex periprosthetic fractures in the most modern way.
Panel discussions headed by experienced Orthopedic surgeons from Vidarbha region kept entire audience engaged in active discussion. The meet ended with Vote of thanks by Dr Sumedh Choudhary.
