New body of VOSN under the able leadership of Dr Unmesh Mahajan as President and Dr Vikram Sapre as secretary took over the reins. The academic calendar is set to fit all aspects of Orthopedic spectrum. Keeping in mind the common orthopedic cases dealt by majority of Orthopedic surgeon in day to day practice, the first academic event was focused on Pediatric orthopedic and adult foot and ankle trauma on 21st April 2026 at Tuli Imperial Ramdaspeth, Nagpur.
The main faculties were Dr Dhrumin Sangoi (Adult foot and ankle surgeon) and Dr Mandar Agashe (Pediatric Orthopedic Surgeon) from Mumbai. Both faculties being stalwarts in their field.
Dr Dhrumin Sangoi enlightened all delegates on how to approach hallux valgus in adults. Dr Motwani along with Dr Sangoi steered the crowd through an interactive learning session on adult foot and ankle trauma. Included in the CME was a workshop on ligament reconstruction around ankle.
Dr Mandar Agashe shared his words of wisdom on pediatric flat foot and fracture neck femur. The interactive panel discussion on pediatric elbow was well received. Workshop on pediatric femur fracture focused on proximal femur plates and trochanteric entry nails for fracture shaft femur.
The CME was attended by more than 150 delegates. The enthusiasm and support from VOSN members was highly appreciated by President, Secretary and entire team. Dr Sapre concluded the CME with vote of thanks.
